Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and his wife Kate Middleton; Duchess of Cambridge, are indeed public figures. Nevertheless, the couple want to keep much of their lives private. Although the Cambridges are part of the British royal family, Prince William is even a future king, not everyone always recognizes them. And that’s good because Prince William and Kate Middleton want to be discreet, whether for security or other reasons. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, 39 and 40 respectively, have been revealed to use secret names when they are travelling.

Express magazine reports that when on vacation, Prince William calls himself “Danny Collins.” The mother of Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, calls herself “Daphne Clark”. These secret names were not chosen at random. These code names have the letters D and C as their initials. This corresponds to Duke of Cambridge and Duchess of Cambridge. Moreover, these are very common names in the United Kingdom. This allows Prince William and Kate Middleton not to arouse suspicion or draw attention to themselves when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are away from their royal engagements.

George from Cambridge came to pet a walking woman’s dog.

The latter had had a brief conversation with Prince George and asked him what his name was, although she recognized him. Prince George reportedly replied that his name was “Archie”. It is the same first name as that of his cousin, the son of Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, 40. Marie Claire magazine explains that “his nickname was established long before the birth of his cousin, Archie”.
