Mere coincidence or true prophecy? The famous altercation between Will Smith and Chris Rock that occurred during the Oscars this Sunday, March 27, has an air of deja vu. Reminder of the facts: after a joke by Chris Rock on the shaved head of Jada Pinkett Smith, suffering from alopecia, Will Smith went on stage before slapping the comedian in full live. A lunar scene, which despite appearances, was not a gag, and which more or less echoes another scene that occurred a few months earlier, when Will Smith was at a press conference for The Williams Method. During a Q&A segment with the audience, a young boy – who ironically chose to name Chris – was curious about how the American actor was fighting for fakes in his movies. Will Smith then invited the fan to go on stage to teach him, live, how to give a fake slap in the cinema. Of course, the comparison ends there and unlike Chris Rock, this young Chris wasn’t smitten by the actor, but the coincidence was too good not to mention.
Will Smith is an adept face-slapper, even teaching youngsters the ropes on how to wind up and deliver. https://t.co/5w2Bdpqdc8

Will Smith: actor apologizes to Chris Rock
After his skid live this Sunday, Will Smith won the Oscar for best actor for his role as the egocentric patriarch in The Williams Method. The actor then delivered a speech in which he apologized to the whole world … except the man he had hit. This Tuesday, he finally sent a message of apology to Chris Rock, while qualifying his own behavior as “unacceptable and inexcusable”. It remains to be seen if the comedian has the heart to forgive him.
