The information comes from the Daily Mail and the rumor would have been started by one of Vladimir Putin’s main political enemies. According to Leonid Nevzlin, an Israeli businessman of Russian origin, Alina Kabaeva has recently owned two luxury residences in Turkey.
The businessman maintains that a summer house would be in the south of Turkey, while the second would be in Istanbul, the former capital of the NATO member country. These goods would have been obtained with the help of a very close collaborator of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who would have “assigned” his presidential guard to these two residences.
If the facts are proven, they would put Turkey in a delicate position, which would favor Vladimir Putin’s companion in the opposite direction with the other NATO countries, of which it has been a member since 1952. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, the NATO expressed its opposition to the actions of Vladimir Putin. Several member countries have chained restrictions against those close to the president and Russian oligarchs.
A rumor that goes against the grain of NATO’s actions
This is how Alina Kabaeva was sanctioned by the United Kingdom and the European Union because of her alleged links with Vladimir Putin. All have frozen all the property of the former sportswoman, presumed companion of Vladimir Putin, who has been living in Switzerland for several years with her children: “She is the chairman of the board of directors of the National Media Group (NMG), a holding company which owns significant holdings in almost all the main Russian federal media which relay the propaganda of the Russian government”, communicated the Official Journal of the European Union.
The European Union returned to the “close association” between Alina Kabaeva and Vladimir Putin: “It is therefore responsible for supporting actions and policies that compromise the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine as well as stability and security in Ukraine”, one can also read.
