Vladimir Putin’s health has been a big topic for many months now, in particular because of an erratic attitude, body signs that speak volumes or even certain decisions that cause concerns and questions in the Kremlin. Obviously these are only rumours, the Russian president having never made an official communication announcing that he is suffering from any disease. This Tuesday, November 22, a new political event led to an appearance by the leader of Russia, during which some believed they had spotted a new sign of illness. As Vladimir Putin sat across from Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, footage posted on the Kremlin’s official website shows him gripping his chair and his hand taking on a purplish hue.

This political meeting took place on the occasion of the inauguration of a very special monument, a bronze statue of the revolutionary Fidel Castro installed in Moscow. This is why the two heads of state were able to make a speech before having a conversation on the historical ties between their country, described as “a traditional friendship”. Because despite all the rumors about his health, Vladimir Putin is still present during official events that require his presence. It must be admitted, however, that the images made available by the Kremlin highlight not only the tense hand of the Russian president on the armrest of his seat, but also a very different posture between the two heads of state.

Where Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel stands tall and towering in stature, Vladimir Putin appears slumped in his seat, his face puffy and pale. Enough to fuel the rumors that evoke various health problems, whether physiological or mental. Indeed, according to a chain of opposition to Vladimir Putin, the latter would suffer from many ailments and his physical condition would even have deteriorated because of the war in Ukraine and the stress it can cause. The chain, which explains having sources in the Kremlin, affirms that the health of the Russian president would worry more and more his doctors and his relatives. Among his afflictions would include cancer causing major digestive problems and for which he would follow a strict diet.

What is Russian President Vladimir Putin suffering from?

The opposition channel also claims that Vladimir Putin suffers from “coughing fits, dizziness, sleep disturbances, stomach aches and nausea” in addition to symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and schizoaffective disorder. Serious troubles that find their origin in information that would come directly from the Kremlin, but which are also simple deductions after the appearances of the Russian president. Vladimir Putin is visibly bloated and out of shape in many official photos, and his silence on the issue of his health only fuels speculation…
