On April 6, the sumptuous “representationsmiddag” gala dinner traditionally hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden was held. This event bringing together high Swedish personalities as well as members of the royal family was to be held every year at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The gala dinner could only take place on April 6, 2022 evening because of the dragging pandemic context since 2019. The last “representationsmiddag” or “representation dinner” dates back to November 2019, recalls Paris Match. In March 2020, a gala dinner was to take place, but due to the health context, it also had to be canceled at the last minute.

King Carl XVI Gustaf, 75, and Queen Silvia of Sweden, 78, invite high-ranking Swedish personalities to dinner. Are generally invited to the dinner of representation organized by the sovereigns, members of the diplomatic corps, the Parliament, the government. There are also representatives from the worlds of science, sport, business and culture. Of course, members of the Swedish royal family themselves are on board. And the least we can say is that the Swedish crowned heads displayed their finest pageantry for the occasion.

To attend the “representationsmiddag” evening, the women of the Swedish royal family must respect a rather singular dress code: the uni. Thus, Queen Silvia opted for a dress in black blue. Princess Victoria, 44, meanwhile, opted for a gorgeous red dress with a Bardot neckline and wide slit at the skirt. The princess adorned herself with the “Crown Princess Margaretha’s Laurel Leaf Necklace Tiara”, according to Paris Match. To shine even more, Princess Victoria of Sweden wore a magnificent diamond necklace. Princess Sofia, 37, bet on a green dress signed House of Dagmar. Sofia of Sweden also wore an emerald tiara to match her dress. Princess Christina, meanwhile, teamed the floral “Six button tiara” with a purple gown.
