Terrible end for Mary Mara. The famous actress was found dead on Sunday, June 26, 2022, in the St. Lawrence River, at Cape Vincent, a locality in New York State, when she was 61 years old. It was the police who announced his disappearance the next day. If the authorities are awaiting the result of the autopsy, according to the first elements of the investigation, Mary Mara “must have been swimming at the time of the tragedy, the death seeming due to drowning”, report our colleagues of Tele-Loisirs. A few minutes before the lifeless body of the actress was found, the emergency services had received a call reporting a drowning.

If Mary Mara has played in a few films at the cinema, notably in Blue steel, by Jamie Lee Curtis, in 1989, it is especially on television that she has made a name for herself. She played Inspector Bryn Carson, in season 2 of Nash Bridges. She has also made appearances in the series Emergencies, New York, judicial police or in Ally Mcbeal, At the White House, Dexter and more recently Criminal Minds. For several years, Mary Mara had been focusing on the various roles she was able to land to play in Broadway plays.

Since the announcement of his death, tributes have multiplied. The actor and director, Jon Lindstorm, famous actor and director, wrote on his Twitter account: “Shocked to learn of the untimely death of Mary Mara. We played together in 2008 (…). She was struggling despite the aftermath of her chemo. Brave, brilliant, ultra-talented. Earth will be much less colorful without her. May she rest in peace.”
