This is disturbing news in the world of cinema. On Sunday February 18, American actor Tom Sizemore suffered a ruptured aneurysm and is now in critical condition. According to information provided the next day by TMZ, he would have lost consciousness around 2 a.m., while he was in his Los Angeles home. The person who found him unconscious reportedly quickly called 911, before he was rushed to a local hospital.

According to the manager of the 61-year-old man, he is currently in serious condition. “His family is aware of the situation and hopes for the best. It is too early to know when he will be recovered, as he is in critical condition and under observation,” Charles Lago told Page Six. He then clarified that the film producer was currently “hospitalized in intensive care”.

Tom Sizemore had been to rehab several times

Revealed in 1980 in the film High Security alongside Sylvester Stalone, Tom Sizemore then appeared in many successful films. He has thus filmed in Point Break, Born Killers, Heat, Pearl Harbor or even Saving Private Ryan. On the private side, he has had problems with drug use and domestic violence.

In total, the American actor spent 17 months in prison and was notably found guilty, in 2003, of abusing his girlfriend, Heidi Fleiss. In 2019 and 2020, Tom Sizemore was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and possession of drugs. He had a long period of drug addiction, which he started using when he was 15 years old. Since then, the star of Black Hawk Down had confided to having made several stays in rehab to free himself from his addiction.
