Already living in Switzerland, she had taken steps to benefit from assisted suicide. “I didn’t want this life. I couldn’t eat anymore. I was surviving, but I wasn’t living anymore […] I started thinking about death. If my kidneys were leaving me, it was time for me to die. When it’s time, it’s really time,” she said.
