Authorities say he is “lucky to be alive.” On Tuesday, February 23, Tiger Woods was the victim of a terrible car accident, Los Angeles County police said. The 45-year-old golfer had to be extricated using special equipment from his own vehicle by the on-site emergency services. Taken to hospital in serious condition, he suffers from multiple injuries, including both broken legs according to the LA Times, which specifies that one of the two fractures is more important. He notably has a fractured ankle and has already had surgery for several of his injuries.
If the circumstances of the accident have not yet been determined, it seems that it is the high speed at which Tiger Woods was traveling that was at the origin according to the authorities. The champion would have simply lost control of his vehicle, underlines the LA Times, before leaving the road. On American television channels as well as on social networks were unveiled photos of the golfer’s car, damn badly banged up, to the point that the authorities who noticed the accident have announced the miracle that he is still alive after such an impact.
