A few days after the holiday season, Harry Brant, one of model Stephanie Seymour’s sons, passed away. The 24-year-old socialite indeed succumbed to an overdose on Sunday, January 17, 2021. In a statement relayed by the New York Times, the young man’s family said: “We will be forever saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease. He’s accomplished a lot in 24 years, but we’ll never get to see how much more Harry could have done. ” One can then read of the one who had struggled with addiction for several years: “Harry was not only our son. He was also a wonderful brother, a loving grandson, a favorite uncle and a caring friend. was a creative, loving and powerful soul who lit the hearts of many people. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out. ”
Harry Brant was the youngest son of Peter Brant, an industrialist, publisher and art collector, and Stephanie Seymour, famous model. He was a regular attendee at fashion shows and international parties at a young age, attending the Met Gala for the first time at the age of 16. Vanity Fair then referred to him as ‘Little Lord Fauntleroy’ for his unwavering desire to profit from his own fortune and appearance. New York Magazine had called him and his older brother Peter Brant II “New York’s most beautiful teenage brothers.”
Harry Brant was a real jack of all trades
Known for pushing the boundaries of the gender stereotype in cosmetics and clothing, Harry Brant was a model. He had notably appeared in the Italian campaigns of Vogue and Balmain. A fan of cosmetics, in 2015 he founded a unisex makeup line with the MAC brand. As a teenager, he also wrote for Interview magazine, which his father owned.
