Tom Jones was born in Wales, in Pontypridd, on June 7th 1940. Tom works successively in various jobs while dreaming to be able to devote himself to the song: it is in this objective that one finds him the evening in the pubs and private clubs of the area with his group, Tommy Scott and the Senators.

One evening, Tom Jones is noticed by Gordon Mills who becomes his agent, gives him the name that we know and makes him sign his first contracts in London in 1964. The same year, he was successful thanks to the title It’s not unusual, then to other hits such as What’s new Pussycat ?, Help yourself or I’ll never fall in love again. In 1966, he won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. With this success, Tom Jones performs in Las Vegas where he settles in the 1970s.

In 1986, Gordon Mills dies and it is Mark, the son of Tom Jones, who assures the succession in the management of the business of his father, giving on this occasion a new impulse to his career. In 1988, the cover of the title Kiss of Prince with the group Art of Noise is a great success. From the 1990s, knowing how to surround himself with both the younger generation of artists and the older ones, Tom Jones was able to perpetuate his fame. We owe him the famous hit Sex Bomb, extracted in 1999 from the album Reload, and which sold more than five million copies in the world.

Tom Jones got married very early, at the age of 17, with Melinda Trenchard, his childhood friend, who gave him a son named Mark.
