Timothée Chalamet was born on December 27, 1995 in New York, to a French father and an American mother. He grew up in his hometown, where he was immersed in an artistic environment; his grandfather Harold Flender was a screenwriter, his uncle Rodman Flender is a director and his sister Pauline is an actress. Soon, the young boy began shooting commercials and then went on to study art at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

In 2008, Timothée Chalamet made his debut with film appearances (Sweet Tooth and Clown), then landed a role in an episode of the series New York, Police CID in 2009. He continues his rise on the small screen and obtains a recurring role in the series Royal Pains in 2012. The same year, he landed the role of the son of the Vice President of the United States in the series Homeland. The success of the series allowed him to be revealed to the general public.

In 2014, he returns to film, notably in Interstellar with Matthew McConaughey. His talent noticed, the young actor has been shooting since then.
