Carl Philip of Sweden soon dad: Princess Sofia is pregnant with their third child
And three! Royal family more discreet than the Windsors in Great Britain, the kingdom of Sweden never misses an opportunity to announce the good news
Madeleine Thérèse Amélie Joséphine, the youngest daughter of King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden and Queen Silvia, was born on June 10, 1982 at Drottningholm Palace. Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, is fifth in the order of succession to the throne after her elder sister Victoria, her niece Estelle, her nephew Oscar, and her brother Carl Philip. The sparkling youngest member of the clan, a fan of clubbing parties, Italian fashion and the beaches of Sainte-Maxime where the royal family owns a villa, is looking for her way between studying law, art history and design. Then she obtained a master’s degree in organization and management at the University of Stockholm. Intended to represent her country on the international humanitarian scene, she spent a year in New York in 2006 and worked alongside Unicef. In the summer of 2010, the Princess left Sweden and packed her bags in Manhattan’s East Village. Since then, she has been working for the Global Children’s Foundation created by her mother, Queen Silvia.
On the private side, Madeleine from Sweden fell in love with a law student, Jonas Bergström, in March 2003. After seven years of an idyllic romance and the announcement of their engagement in August 2009, the princess abruptly broke it off in April 2010 following the infidelities of her future husband disclosed in the press. She moves away from the media turmoil caused by this breakup and finds love again in New York in early 2011, on the arm of Christopher O’Neill, an Anglo-American financier eight years her senior. After an engagement celebrated in October 2012, the couple got married on June 8, 2013 in the chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Madeleine of Sweden gives birth to a little girl, named Leonore, on February 20, 2014 in New York where the pretty princess resides with her husband. In December 2014, the couple announced that they are expecting their second child, who is due to be born in the summer of 2015. And surprise, in February 2015, a press release officializes the return of the couple to Stockholm, to the great pleasure of the Swedes who see the royal family reunited again. On June 15, 2015, Madeleine of Sweden gave birth to a little boy named Nicolas Paul Gustaf. At the end of August 2017, Madeleine of Sweden announces that she is expecting her third child whose birth is scheduled for February 2018. On March 9, 2018, she gave birth to a girl named Adrienne.
