Elizabeth II “deeply saddened”: this brutal death that upsets her

Prince William was born on June 21, 1982 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London. The eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and his wife Diana (née Spencer), William is second in the order of succession to the British throne. The United Kingdom was immediately fascinated by this little prince, whose childhood and adolescence were chronicled by the media around the world. The death of his beloved mother on August 31, 1997, only serves to heighten the curiosity he arouses – a curiosity mixed with compassion.
William attended Ludgrove Boarding School and entered Eton College in September 1995, where he received his A-levels (equivalent to the baccalaureate) in 2000. He then took advantage of a sabbatical year to participate in a community and environmental project in Chile with Raleigh International. In September 2001, he joined the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Initially enrolled to study Art History, he finally changed his major and obtained a Master’s degree in Geography in June 2005.
In July 2005, he made his first official solo trip to New Zealand. Sent by Queen Elizabeth II, he commemorates the end of the Second World War alongside New Zealand veterans. William thus complies with his grandmother’s wish and begins his apprenticeship as a king.
In 2006, William decided to pursue a military career and joined the prestigious Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. There he obtained his officer’s diploma. He then obtains his pilot’s license before being transferred, in 2009, to the Royal Air Force. After completing his helicopter training, he was posted to the 22nd RAF Squadron based on the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. There, he served for just over three years as a search and rescue pilot. In July 2017, after two years of loyal service, he will leave his position as a rescue pilot with East Anglian Air Ambulance.
In addition to his military obligations, Prince William followed his mother’s example by sponsoring several charities. In 2009, together with his younger brother, Prince Harry, he founded the Prince William and Prince Harry Foundation. He took advantage of the principles and values he learned from his mother – an education which, at the time, had shaken up the traditions of the ruling family – by displaying a resolutely simple, accessible and modern image.
Perhaps it was this other side of his generous and caring personality that appealed to Kate Middleton in her private life. The two young men met on the St Andrews campus in 2001. Their romance was made public at the end of 2003. In April 2007, they separated briefly… to find each other again. They got engaged on November 16, 2010. On April 29th 2011, their wedding is celebrated in Westminster Abbey, in front of cameras from all over the world. A new chapter of their love story is written with the birth, on July 22, 2013, of their first child, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. In September 2014, Kate and William announce that they are expecting their second child. On May 2, 2015, Kate gave birth to a little princess, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge. On September 4, 2017, Kensington Palace announces that the couple is expecting their third child. The birth is scheduled for April 2018. On April 23, 2018, the family grows with the birth of a little boy, Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge.
