Pierre Casiraghi was born on September 5, 1987 at the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco. Son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Italian businessman Stefano Casiraghi, he is the youngest of the family after the births of Andrea (in 1984) and Charlotte (in 1986). On October 3, 1990, the Little Prince was only three years old when his father died in an offshore accident. Raised by his mother, he grew up far from the media whirlwind of the Rock, in a farmhouse in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. After his mother’s remarriage to Prince Ernst-August of Hanover in January 1999, the family expanded with the birth of a half-sister, Alexandra of Hanover, in July 1999.
As a teenager, he left his clan to study economics and management at Bocconi University in Milan. A brilliant student, he follows in his father’s footsteps and wishes to take up the torch again. As the main shareholder of the general construction company Engeco, founded by his father in 1984, he perpetuates his memory. An accomplished sportsman, Pierre Casiraghi will take part in the 16th Monte-Carlo Motor Rally in 2013. Also passionate about water sports, he won the Giraglia Rolex Cup regatta in Monaco in May 2014. Like his uncle Prince Albert of Monaco, Pierre Casiraghi supports Monegasque athletes whenever he can, for example in 2014 at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
On the heart side, after an idyll with the English model Alice Dellal, Pierre Casiraghi met Beatrice Borromeo on the university benches. Since 2008, the glamorous couple has been living a great story and is increasingly appearing at official events in the principality. On July 25, 2015, their civil marriage is celebrated in Monaco. The religious ceremony takes place on August 1, 2015 on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Lombardy. The couple is expecting their first child in early 2017. On February 28, 2017, Beatrice Borromeo gives birth to a little boy named Stefano. On May 21, 2018, she gives birth to their second son; Francesco, Carlo, Albert.
