Born on January 1, 1980 in Carcassonne, Olivia Ruiz is a French singer and actress of Spanish origin. Daughter of the musician and singer Didier Blanc, Olivia has been immersed in music from a very young age. She took theater and dance classes and formed a rock band with her friends, which they named Five. The little band wins several springboards for young talents in the Aude. Olivia also sings a duet with her father, covering the mythical repertoire of French and Spanish songs.

In 2001, the young woman is discovered by the general public thanks to her participation in the Star Academy. She designs the Christmas decorations for the BHV windows and participates in the musical project Les Françoises. Her fourth album is finally released in December 2012, entitled Le calme et la tempête. In 2013, she wins for the 3rd time a Crystal Globe for the category of Female Artist Performer.

On the private side, Olivia Ruiz shared the life of the musician Mathias Malzieu between 2005 and 2011. She found love again on the arm of musical programmer Nicolas Preschey and gave birth to their first child in November 2015, a little boy named Nino.
