At a very young age, Nicole Kidman developed a passion for the arts: classical dance, theater, literature, photography… A true pillar of the family, Janelle Kidman, a committed feminist, encouraged her daughters to follow in her footsteps and took them with her to the Women’s Electoral Lobby, an Australian feminist organization. At the age of 17, the teenager’s life is turned upside down when she learns that her beloved mother is suffering from breast cancer. With her sister, Antonia, she takes turns looking after her. Very eclectic, the actress embarks on different adventures, makes bold choices (Dogville, Birth) and alternates with more commercial films (My Beloved Witch, Australia, Nine). She does not hesitate to break her image in Paperboy in 2012 and appears on the screen as a nymphomaniac Barbie doll. Nicole Kidman multiplies the projects and leads in parallel a career as a producer (In the Cut, Rabbit Hole, Monte-Carlo). In 2014, she plays Grace Kelly in Olivier Dahan’s biopic, Grace de Monaco, presented at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival.
