On December 9, 2005, Matt Damon said “yes” to Luciana Barroso, whom she had met two years earlier on the set of the movie Two
Matt Damon, born in 1970 in Massachusetts, and raised by his mother in Boston, has always wanted to turn to the world of entertainment: after a degree in literary studies obtained at Harvard, he devoted himself to theater courses that would pay off. Indeed, the young man had his first success on the stage, before conquering Hollywood alongside his famous cousin, Ben Affleck. With him, he wrote “Will Hunting” in 1997, directed by Gus Van Sant, which will be awarded multiple times, establishing Matt Damon as a talented actor.
Friendship is one of the most important values in his career: after playing in “Ocean’s Eleven” in 2001, his partners (George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia) become dear friends, with whom he does not hesitate to collaborate on other projects, even for short appearances. Following this film, the director Steven Soderbergh also makes him one of his favorite actors.
Faithful in friendship, but also in love: Matt Damon is married since 2005 with Luciana Bozan, a waitress met some time earlier, already mother of a little girl and who gives him, in 2006 and 2008, two other little girls (Isabella and Gia).
Between his career and his perfect family life, Matt Damon takes time for others: in 2009, he created an association to support access to drinking water in Africa.
