Liam Neeson, real name William John Neeson, is a British actor who became a naturalized American actor in 2009. He was born on 7 June 1952 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. At the age of 29, after having worked as a lorry driver, amateur boxer, forklift driver for Guinness, assistant architect and even teacher, Liam Neeson made his first steps in film in Excalibur (1981).
In 1993, he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List. From sentimental comedy to historical frescoes to action films, Liam Neeson is a multi-talented actor who works in all film genres. This aptitude allows him to act for the greatest directors such as George Lucas, Martin Scorsese and Ridley Scott. In his private life, Liam Neeson was married for eleven years to actress Natasha Richardson. In March 2009, at the age of 45, Natasha Richardson succumbed to a traumatic ski fall in the mountains of Quebec. The couple has two sons; Micheal Richard (born in June 1995) and Daniel Jack (born in August 1996).
