Kate Mara was born on February 27, 1983 in Bedford, New York. Daughter of Timothy Christopher Mara, vice-president of the New York Giants team and Kathleen McNulty, her childhood was marked by American soccer. But the little girl is less attracted to the sport than her two brothers, Daniel and Conor, and her sister, Rooney. Soon, she distinguishes herself from the rest of the family and tells her parents of her wish to become an actress at the age of 9.
