Jeff Bridges was born on December 4, 1949 in Los Angeles. Son of Lloyd Bridge, the protagonist of Is There Someone on the Plane? and the poet Dorothy Bridges, he had a privileged childhood in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of the City of Angels. The young man began his acting career in his father’s series, The Lloyd Bridge Show before landing his first big-screen role in The Last Session in 1971.
