Jane Seymour was born on February 15, 1951 in Hillingdon, England. Of Dutch origin, she quickly developed a passion for the dramatic arts. From the age of 13, she studied dance, theater and music. She appeared in the cinema for the first time when she was only 17 years old (Ah God! how pretty the war is). Four years later, Richard Attenborough noticed her after her performance in the film The Only Way.

She then begins a career on the small screen and becomes the heroine of the cult series Doctor Quinn, woman doctor. This role earned her numerous Emmy Awards and Golden Globes. In 1973, she joined the very select club of the James Bond Girls. She plays the sensual role of Solitaire in Living and Dying alongside Roger Moore. She continued her career in film and television until the 2000s. In 2007, she participated in the British edition of Dancing with the Stars.

In her private life, she has been married four times; to Michael Attenborough (1971-1973), Geoffrey Planer (1977-1978), David Flynn (1981-1992) with whom she has two children Katherine (1982) and Sean (1986) and James Keach (1993-2015) with whom she has twins (John and Kristopher in 1995).
