“Grey’s Anatomy” features the medical team at Seattle Grace Hospital, a fictional Seattle hospital. Meredith Grey, who gives her name to the series, is the main interpreter. She is the daughter of Dr. Ellis Grey, who also worked as a surgeon at Seattle Grace, but now has Alzheimer’s disease. The series begins on the first day of Meredith’s surgical residency, which she performs alongside first-year classmates Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, George O’Malley and Alex Karev.
