A starred chef of Scottish origin, Gordon Ramsay is also known as the kitchen vigilante in distress on Anglo-Saxon television thanks to the famous show Cauchemar en cuisine.

Before becoming a television star, Gordon Ramsay began his career with some of Britain’s top chefs. He quickly developed a passion for French cuisine and moved to France to work under the direction of the prestigious Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon. Back in London, he continued to work for other chefs before opening his first restaurant in 1998. His talent was very quickly recognized as the chef managed to earn 3 Michelin stars… in three years! This success enabled him to open restaurants around the world, including in Scotland, Ireland and even France. The latest to date is in Bordeaux, just across the street from Philippe Etchebest’s restaurant.

In 2004, Gordon Ramsay became the flagship host of the programs Hell’s Kitchen and Cauchemar en cuisine, the French version of which is hosted by Philippe Etchebest. He quickly made a name for himself with his temperament and perfectionism. His shows are a real success and are adapted abroad, including in the United States, where he once again takes charge of the presentation. He is also part of the jury of Masterchef and Junior Masterchef.

On the private side, Gordon Ramsay has been married since 1996 to a teacher, Cayetana Elizabeth Hutcheson, with whom he has four children: Megan Jane (born in 1998), twins Jack Scott and Holly Anna (born in 2000) and Matilda Elizabeth (born in 2002). In June 2016, Gordon Ramsay announced on social networks that his wife had a miscarriage at five months of pregnancy. In early January 2019, the couple announced that they were expecting their fifth child. On April 4, 2019, the couple gave birth to a boy named Oscar.
