Estelle Lefébure was born on May 11, 1966 in Rouen, France, the only daughter of Gilles and Denise Lefébure, beauty salon managers. After three daughters from a first union, her father raised little Estelle as a boy. As a teenager, she has been practicing ballet for years, but she also knows how to drive a car in the family garden and owns a small motorcycle. After a childhood spent in Normandy and studies in accounting, Estelle chooses a completely different path after being approached by a modeling agent in the streets of Paris.

She started her career in the mid 80’s and very quickly embodied the image of the blonde, natural, healthy and sporty woman. Despite her relatively small size (1.75 m), she signed with two agencies Karin Models and Elite and collaborated with prestigious photographers; Patrick Demarchelier, Irving Penn and Herb Ritts. During the 90’s, she became the first French top model and was one of the stars of the moment alongside Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington … She appeared with these famous sisters in the video clip Too Funky by George Michael in 1992. The same year, she became the muse of Thierry Mugler’s first perfume, Angel. She holds the record of covers for the French edition of Elle magazine and her contract with the Mixa brand has been extended since 1998.

When she steps off the podium, Estelle tries her hand at the small screen and takes her first steps as a host in 1993 at the helm of the program Courants d’airs, in which she delivers her favourite addresses of emblematic cities. On France 2, she presented a variety show, Samedi soir chez Estelle (1998), then 2000 mercis (1999). She is also attracted to comedy; in the cinema, she has played herself several times in Grosse fatigue (1994), Absolument fabuleux (2001) and Le bal des actrices (2009). She shot an episode of the series Alice Nevers, le juge est une femme (The Judge is a Woman) on TF1 in 2006, appeared in the credits of Xavier Gens’ feature film, Frontière(s), and returned to the small screen with the series Crossing Lines in 2013. In 2012, she hits the dance floor in season 3 of the TF1 program Danse avec les stars.

In 2015, she publishes a book in which she gives her advice form and well-being, Orahe, the method Estelle Lefébure. She practices stand-up paddle, for which she is a certified instructor. She continues to write coaching books; Orahe, Ma méthode anti-âge (2016), Orahe, Mindful beauty (2016), Orahe, Le bien-être pour les enfants (2017). In November 2019, she publishes a new book, Orahe, Vivre au rythme de son cœur.

On the private side, Estelle Léfébure met David Hallyday on a television set in 1988. In September 1989, the couple got married in Normandy. They have two daughters; Ilona (born 17/05/1995) and Emma (born 13/09/1997). After their divorce pronounced in 2001, Estelle Lefébure finds love again on the arm of the animator-producer Arthur and marries him in 2004. Divorced since 2008, she becomes mother for the third time with the birth of a little boy named Giuliano (born on 29/11/2010), from her union with Pascal Ramette. In April 2015, she announces her separation from the father of her son.
