Emilia Clarke was born on May 1, 1987 in the British capital. Daughter of a sound engineer, Emilia discovers very early the backstage of the world of the spectacle and dreams of making a career there. The young Londoner then took classes at the Drama Center London and performed there for the first time in 2008. After a few television appearances (in the series Doctors in 2009 and the TV movie Triassic Attack in 2010), the casting director of Games of Thrones chose her to play the role of Daenerys Targarygen.
