Chuck Norris is an American actor, born in 1940, under the name of Carlos Ray Norris. Amateur of combat sports, he specialized in action films. Raised by his mother in California, he finished his studies there. Enlisted in the US Air Force, he is sent to South Korea, where he becomes Chuck and learns tangsudo, a martial art for which he becomes a black belt. He is also an adept of judo, karate and jiu-jitsu.

Returning to civilian life in 1962, he opened a karate school in California. Father of three children, Chuck Norris met Bruce Lee who gave him a role in The Fury of the Dragon in 1972. In the meantime, he has become a karate champion. He also lost his youngest brother, who died in Vietnam in 1970, and to whom he dedicated his film Portés disparus (Missing Persons), which became a series of successes, notably with the films Invasion USA, Delta Force… Ten years later, after a period of inactivity, he regained fame in 1993 with the television series Walker Texas Ranger in which he delivers sharp kicks… He returns to the cinema to star in Expendables 2 in 2012.

On the private side, Chuck Norris was married to Dianne Holechek (1958-1989), with whom he had two sons; Mike and Eric. He also has a daughter, Dianna DeCioli, born in 1964 from an extramarital relationship. In 1998, he remarried Gena O’Kelly, with whom he has twins; a boy (Dakota Alan) and a girl (Danilee Kelly), in August 2001.
