Chester Marlon Hanks, or Chet Hanks, or Chet Haze, is the oldest son of Tom Hanks and Rachel Wilson, born in 1990 in Los Angeles, California.

Before his short-lived fame as Chet Haze, his main achievement was to have made a brief appearance alongside Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, released in May 2008. He also made a cameo for the controversial film Project X, released in 2012 and which narrates the holding of a demented and destructive party.

Away from the screens, it was in college that Chester Marlon Hanks became Chet Haze. While taking drama classes at Northwestern University, he made the buzz in early 2011 by covering Khalifa’s Black and Yellow to make a hip-hop anthem of his university, White and Purple. This single was both the beneficiary and victim of immediate viral popularity: although chastised by Howard Stern (the king of all media in the United States), Chet Haze nonetheless released tracks such as Westside L.A. or Do it better in the wake of it.

Unfortunately, Chet Haze recently made the headlines in a completely different way, confessing his addiction to cocaine since the age of 16. He thus joins the long list of young stars and sons of the drug-addicted, alongside Macaulay Culkin, Selena Gomez, Lindsay Lohan or Zac Efron. Thanks to his family’s unwavering support, Chet Haze is currently undergoing treatment with Narcotics Anonymous and says he has “never been happier” than since he broke free from drugs.
