Born on August 18, 1985 in San Candilo, Italy, Beatrice comes from an illustrious Italian aristocratic family, also one of the oldest, the Borromeo. Daughter of Count Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo and Paola Marzotto, Beatrice has an older brother, Carlo. She bears no title. Being born out of wedlock, she cannot claim the title of countess. Beatrice grows up in a reconstituted family; the youngest of the clan, she has three half-sisters, Isabella, Lavinia and Mathilde, born from her father’s first marriage to Marion Zota, a model of German origin.

At the age of 16, the beautiful aristocrat becomes a model and starts modelling, then becomes emancipated and leaves the family nest two years later. After an idyll with Tommaso Buti, a young entrepreneur from Florence, she pursues her dream of independence and professional success. Parallel to her studies in international law, Beatrice Borromeo also developed a passion for politics. In 2006, she became a host for the Rai 2 channel and co-presents Annozero, a weekly program launched after Silvio Berlusconi’s defeat in the legislative elections, which caused controversy. For two years, every week, she covered social issues such as insecurity, the Roma, and workers’ working conditions.

In 2009, she made a foray into the written press as a reporter for the Italian daily Il Fatto, which was resolutely anti-Berlusconi. On the radio, she hosts the program 105 Friends and does not hesitate to display her convictions by denouncing political scandals. She then moved away from her native country to work for a while in England, notably by collaborating with the magazine Above, dedicated to the art of ecological living. In 2012, she graduated from the School of Journalism at Columbia University in the United States and continued her career as a reporter for Newsweek and The Daily Beast.

In February 2021, Beatrice Borromeo was chosen as Dior’s new ambassador.

In her private life, she met Pierre Casiraghi, Caroline of Monaco’s youngest son, on the benches of the Bocconi faculty in Milan. Since 2008, the glamorous couple has been living a great story and is increasingly featured at official events in the principality. On July 25, 2015, their civil marriage is celebrated in Monaco. The religious ceremony takes place on August 1, 2015 on the shores of Lake Maggiore in Lombardy. The couple is expecting their first child in early 2017. On February 28, 2017, Beatrice Borromeo gives birth to a baby boy, Stefano. In March 2018, Beatrice Borromeo shows her second pregnancy at the Rose Ball. On May 21, 2018, she gives birth to their second son; Francesco, Carlo, Albert.
