A happy dad. This Saturday July 2, Quentin Tarantino and his wife Daniella Pick became parents for the second time. After welcoming a little boy named Leo in February 2020, the American director became the father of a little girl. A birth confirmed by a press release relayed this Monday, July 4 by People magazine.
Quentin Tarantino announced the pregnancy of his wife, a 38-year-old Israeli singer, last February. The two lovebirds met in 2009 while promoting the film Inglorious Basterds in Israel, but it wasn’t until 2017 that they got together. Everything then went very quickly because the couple married in November 2018 before moving together to Israel, where their son was born.
Quentin Tarantino explains the origin of his son’s first name
During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in June 2021, Quentin Tarantino explained why he and his wife decided to name their first child Leo. “We almost didn’t name him that because people would assume I named him after Leonardo DiCaprio (his friend and actor in the films Django Unchained and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). There’s nothing bad for that, but he bears the name of my wife’s grandfather, but also because, in our hearts, he was our little lion”, had revealed the filmmaker. For the time being, we do not yet know the name of the newcomer to the Tarantino family.
