The Spanish royalty had organized a banquet in honor of the Italian president, Sergio Mattarella, on November 16. Queen Letizia marked the occasion by wearing the Cartier Habsburg tiara. The latter belonged to Queen Sofia who used to wear it. This is a beautiful tiara set with diamonds and large pearls. This is a coin that has belonged to the Spanish royal family since the 19th century.

Besides this event in honor of the Italian President, Queen Letizia had worn this tiara only once. It was in November 2018 during the state banquet organized for the Chinese president. Note that so far, this jewel has only been worn by members of the family of Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia. It is difficult to say who is the current owner of this tiara. Many questions arise. Is this piece finally part of Queen Letizia’s personal cassette? Or did she borrow it from her mother-in-law? Would King Felipe have bought him back from his father?

Queen Letizia of Spain was majestically beautiful

Although this tiara testified to the majesty of Queen Letizia’s outfit, her outfit was by no means unworthy. Which is perfectly understandable since the queen is a model of chic and elegance during her official outings. For this occasion, she chose a long black and sober dress. She also wore her green scarf with the red border of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. In particular, she had stapled the badge of the order of which she is Lady Grand Cross.

Tradition obliges, the guests and the hosts must wear the highest distinctions received from the other country during a state banquet. Thus, for his part, the Italian president wore his insignia of the Order of Isabella the Catholic.
