This Thursday, December 9, 2021, Queen Letizia of Spain was present at CaixaForum in Madrid. In particular, she chaired the ceremony for the 75th anniversary of UNICEF Spain. Note that the Queen is the honorary president of this United Nations body in Spain. The ceremony focused mainly on the future of the children following the post-covid period. José Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ione Belarra, Minister of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 were also present at the event.

The event began with a souvenir video retracing the organization’s 75 years. This round table was entitled: “The essential alliances to defend and promote the rights of the child and the post-Covid-19 era”. Of course, Queen Letizia of Spain made a speech. During which, she praised the achievements of UNICEF in nutrition, education and access to health services. The event ended with an informal meeting with the speakers of the round table.

Queen Letizia of Spain looked lavish in red

Not surprisingly, Queen Letizia looked simply stunning at this event. She had chosen a white long-sleeved turtleneck top. She paired this top with a red floral midi skirt from Carolina Herrra and a pair of red knee-high boots. An ensemble that made her stand out from an audience that mostly wore black and gray suits.

The monarch had already worn this skirt in 2018 at the school of nurses and the central hospital of Cruz Roja, in Madrid. As a hairstyle, the Queen chose to let go of her hair while pulling it back towards the back of her ears. As accessories, she opted for drop earrings in parles as well as a Karen Hallam ring.
