Play her like Meghan. On Friday, September 25, Princess Eugenie announced via the Royal Family as well as her own Instagram account that she and husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their first child. A happy event for the couple married for almost two years, who will probably live this pregnancy away from prying eyes.
Royal Highness in the background, Princess Eugenie is in fact not required to ensure royal engagements. However, she could follow the path of some duchesses, especially as regards the place of her delivery. According to the Daily Mail, Princess Beatrice’s little sister could indeed choose to imitate Meghan Markle, and give birth to her first child at Portland Hospital. Right where little Archie was born, but also … Princess Eugenie herself! Indeed, it is not at the famous St Mary’s Hospital in London that Sarah Ferguson gave birth to her daughters, but in this private maternity hospital located a stone’s throw from Regent’s Park in the heart of London, now very popular with celebrities.
Sarah Ferguson “excited” to become a grandmother
Princess Eugenie could therefore follow in the footsteps of Meghan Markle, who privately congratulated her on her pregnancy, but especially her mother, by choosing this establishment to give birth to her baby. However, it is perhaps still a little too early for the granddaughter of Elizabeth II to comment on this subject, who should not give birth until early 2021. But this choice could well delight her mother Sarah Ferguson, already impatient to the idea of being a grandmother for the first time.
“I am so excited by the news that Eugenie and Jack are expecting their first child,” the Duchess of York told the Daily Mail. Delighted for both of them and in my 60th year, I can’t wait to be a grandmother Welcoming a new baby to the York family is going to be a moment of deep joy, ”she added. And that will make Elizabeth II a ninth great-grandchild.
