Chapter 2021 closes. To celebrate the New Year, Princess Eugenie has chosen to post some pictures from recent months, sometimes with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, sometimes with her son August in her arms. “Happy New Year to all … Goodbye 2021”, wrote the princess in legend, “A year which blessed us with the arrival of our boy as well as several additions in the family, but also a year which took our brightest stars, forever in our hearts. ” Eugenie obviously refers, initially, to the births that marked the year of the royal family, starting with that of her son August, on February 9. There followed the arrivals of Lucas Tindall, in March, Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, in June or even Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, – the daughter of Princess Beatrice -, in September. But recent months have also been marred by the disappearance of Prince Philip last April, just two months before his 100th birthday, as well as the death of Jack Brooksbank’s father, George, last November at the age of 72. year. Princess Eugenie was apparently very close to her grandfather, which is why her son August has Philip as a middle name. “My grandfather was such an important and inspiring character in my life,” said the young woman, happy to have been able to present her newborn baby to Prince Philip, a few days before his death. “I brought August to introduce it to him and told him I named him after him. It was a precious time and we were lucky to be able to experience it.”
Princess Eugenie: her son August baptized with Lucas Tindall
Among the photos shared by the princess on Instagram, we also discover a preview of August’s baptism, last November. The baby, who now has a full head of blond hair, is dressed in a lacy outfit, while he patiently waits on his mother’s lap. The ceremony also covered the christening of her cousin Lucas Tindall.
