A moment of embarrassment… royal! Back in his work as a representative of the British crown, Prince William made his first engagement of the year on Wednesday January 19 with Kate Middleton. For the occasion, the Cambridge couple went to the Foundling Museum in London. However, this visit was punctuated by a moment of embarrassment which did not escape those present on the spot. After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it is now Prince Andrew who has been embarrassing the royal family for several weeks, while he is accused of rape by Virginia Roberts, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein.
Targeted by a rape complaint last August, the Duke of York should soon face justice while this complaint was registered by the New York court. In reaction to this news, Elizabeth II decided to dispossess her son of his military titles, which had been retained until now despite his withdrawal from public life. But among the other Windsors, the embarrassment is palpable, as for Prince William, who tried to evade a question about his uncle during his last trip. “Your Royal Highness, may I ask you: do you support Prince Andrew?” a reporter asked the Duke of Cambridge, who said he hadn’t heard the question.

Did William play a role in the Queen’s decision?
Getting closer to his interlocutor, the latter then asked him again: “Do you support Prince Andrew? Have you spoken to him recently?”. A new question that Prince William swept away with a smile, visibly embarrassed before focusing on those present, in particular his wife Kate Middleton. A few days earlier, it was Prince Charles who had ignored questions about Prince Andrew, casually continuing to greet people he met during a walk in Scotland. It must be said that he and his eldest son played a role in the Queen’s radical decision to oust the Duke of York, who will defend himself in this case as a private citizen.
