Since June 25, Prince Harry is back in England. If he must remain isolated for five days given the health restrictions in force in the United Kingdom, this did not prevent him from participating virtually, this Monday, June 28, in the awards ceremony of the Diana Awards. This rewards young people aged 9 to 25, who have made a difference in the world or their community, through humanitarian work or social action. Against all odds, Prince Harry appeared to give a long pre-recorded speech, in which he paid tribute to his mother by recalling the beautiful values she defended. He also made a discreet allusion to his brother Prince William, who went almost unnoticed: “I am truly honored to celebrate your work, your commitment to change” he began before adding: “More later this week my brother and I will be commemorating what would have been our mother’s 60th birthday, and she would be so proud of all of you, who live authentic lives with purpose and compassion for others. ”
Archie and Lilibet’s dad also spoke on behalf of his wife Meghan Markle: “As it has been doing for 21 years now, the Diana Award continues its legacy by putting young people at the center of our future. It has never been as important, and Meghan and I fundamentally believe that our world is about to change. Real change for the good of all. ” After discussing at length the difficulties encountered during the health crisis, Prince Harry concluded by calling on young people to continue “to defend what they believe in”.
Towards reconciliations between Prince Harry and Prince William?
If Prince Harry is back on his homeland, it is to attend the tribute that will be paid to Princess Diana, this Thursday, July 1. With his brother Prince William, they will unveil a statue in Kensington Gardens, bearing the likeness of their mother who should have turned 60 that day. An event that promises to be very emotional while many hope that it will perhaps bring the two brothers together and reconcile them. They are indeed at loggerheads from the Megxit and would have even quarreled barely two months ago after the funeral of Prince Philip.
