After five long months of waiting, Queen Elizabeth II finally had the pleasure of reuniting with some members of her family. As revealed by the newspaper The Sun, the 94-year-old sovereign saw Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, as well as their three children, during the weekend of August 28 and 29. It must be said that the Queen of England was particularly delighted with this family reunion, since she had not seen her grandson’s family since March, because of the confinement and the health crisis.
All gathered at the private royal residence in Balmoral, Scotland, where Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip have been held back since the start of August to protect themselves from the pandemic. Prince Edward and his wife Sophie of Wessex as well as Princess Anne were also in the party, however, the Sussex couple was not there. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were not present for the festivities, who now live thousands of miles from the UK, in Montecito, California. Only Prince Harry would be disappointed not to have been able to be with his family …
Harry upset, Meghan not especially
A close source confided in In Touch Weekly magazine, and revealed that Prince Harry is “annoyed” to be stuck in California, and not to have been able to make it to Balmoral too. The 35-year-old father is frustrated “not to have been able to participate” in the family holiday in Scotland, because of the health crisis. Especially since these family vacations are an annual tradition that everyone usually goes to, like last year in August 2019. On the other hand, Meghan Markle would not really share the same opinion. The former actress is quite happy to have stayed at home with her family, with their son Archie. “[She] doesn’t feel like she’s missing anything. She’s been too busy lately decorating their new home in Montecito,” the source added. There is no doubt that the young mother wants to arrange everything and organize as best as possible for their little one and a half year old.
