A shocking detail. This Sunday, July 10, Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the men’s final of Wimbledon. A match which opposed Nick Kyrgios to Novak Djokovic and which saw the victory of the Serb in four sets. And for this beautiful event, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had decided to come accompanied by their eldest son, Prince George. A great first for the eight-year-old boy, who had never yet attended a match of the prestigious tennis tournament.
The photographers therefore had a field day to immortalize the brother of Charlotte and Louis during the match. But one detail of Prince George’s look has fans of the royal family taken aback. Indeed, the latter found that the young boy was dressed in a full suit while the temperature was around 30°C under the London sun. An outfit that shocked internet users. “Poor kid who has to wear a suit in this heat,” “Why are they dressing him in a suit and tie and in this heat. He’s a boy, not an adult”, “Poor Prince George in a shirt, tie and jacket in this sweltering heat. Couldn’t they let the child wear a T-shirt?” Twitter. The young boy finally stayed the whole match with his suit jacket over his shoulders.

Princess Charlotte absent at Wimbledon
For this match, Kate and William had therefore decided to take Prince George, but not Princess Charlotte. An absence justified for a very specific reason. Indeed, this invitation to go to Wimbledon was first of all an early birthday present for the young boy, who will turn nine on July 22. finally, his little sister, born in May 2015, was deemed too young to accompany his family. But let her be reassured because she will still have many opportunities to attend such events in the years to come. She’ll just have to be a little patient.
