Prince Charles: this great star of the song for whom he had a crush in his youth

Asked about the different songs that rocked his youth during an interview on Monday, Prince Charles showed some interest in a title … and for a singer in particular. Indeed, the son of Elizabeth II seems to be a fervent admirer of Barbra Streisand, he who chose the song Don’t Rain On My Parade among his favorites. “I have always been a great admirer of the incredibly versatile American actress and singer Barbra Streisand”, explains Prince Charles, before looking back on his first meeting with the singer, when he was 26 years old. “In 1974, while serving in the Royal Navy … as a young lieutenant in the frigate HMS Jupiter, we called the US Navy base in San Diego, California … when I learned that ‘she was currently shooting the movie Funny Lady, in the Warner Brothers studios … I had the chance to visit the set and meet her there, “recalls William and Harry’s father, whom the American star does obviously did not leave indifferent.

Prince Charles: this alleged relationship with Barbra Streisand

If we only know two official relations of Prince Charles: Lady Diana and Camilla Parker Bowles, there is however a list of the latter’s alleged conquests. However, among the names is that of Barbra Streisand. If this has never been confirmed, many rumors have circulated about it, to the point that the journalist Christopher Andersen evokes this supposed romance in his book published in 2016, Game of Crowns: Elizabeth, Camilla, Kate and the Throne. According to information gathered in the book, “a secret meeting at the Bel Air Hotel which nobody has ever known”, would have taken place between Prince Charles and Barbra Streisand. A cleaning lady would have even surprised them, explaining to have found them “very affectionate” towards each other. The American singer, not without humor, had joked about these rumors in 2019, declaring: “If I had played my cards well, I could have been the first Jewish princess.”
