To keep fit, Prince Charles has a secret of his own. As crown prince to the throne of England, the eldest son of Elizabeth II has since been introduced Prince of Wales, to perform royal obligations and other engagements on behalf of his mother. And that often involves traveling across the country, but also around the world, on official trips.
While his wife Camilla has assured that she will not retire from her royal career anytime soon, Prince Charles will still be able to count on his wife for a few years to follow him on his travels. But she will have to keep pace, because at 71, the Duke of Cornwall is not done with his youth. “He is without a doubt the fittest man of his age that I know,” even his wife said, revealing that her husband was a great walker, even comparing him to “a mountain goat”.
Almost military daily training
But walking isn’t everything, and Camilla Parker Bowles is the first to say so. During this interview with the BBC, the Duchess gave Prince Charles’ secret to keeping fit: every day, the father of princes William and Harry does twice twelve minutes of exercises, according to a program developed by the Canadian Air Force. A champion’s training which is perhaps also the secret of the full and rapid recovery of Prince Charles who had nevertheless contracted a mild form of Covid-19 at the start of the pandemic. Fitter than most of the seventies, he had indeed had no trouble recovering, even if his state of health for a time concerned his sons, since because of his 71 years he was considered a risk.
