Famous actress, Meghan Markle makes the decision to move away from film sets in 2016, when she meets Prince Harry. A decision appreciated by Prince William and Kate Middleton, who, according to Prince Harry, would be big fans of the Suits series. But the celebrity of the future wife of the Duke of Sussex does not please everyone. Especially to Pippa Middleton, Kate Middleton’s sister. Indeed, in May 2017, she united with James Matthews. The latter will then make the decision to dismiss Meghan Markle from the ceremony.
Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyne Durant will come back to this decision in their book Finding Freedom. Indeed, they reveal that Pippa Middleton was very afraid that Meghan Markle would steal the show during her marriage. In private, many fear that “the presence of the American actress alongside Harry could overshadow the main event”, they write. Thus, Prince Harry will attend the ceremony alone while Meghan Markle remains in town. But faced with this situation, the bride then decided to invite Meghan Markle to the reception in order to “keep peace in the family”.
Finally invited but separated from Prince Harry
Thus, the Duchess of Sussex will enter the ceremony but will still be very shocked by her exclusion. “Meghan was shocked when Pippa kicked her out of her wedding.” If she was finally present, the former actress could not join her husband since a rule had been imposed: all the couples were separated and had the objective of exchanging with the other guests. Thus, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stayed very far from each other. A rather complex situation which will leave a very bitter memory in the mouth of the Duchess.
