Revealed in the early 2010s on the big screen, Pierre Deladonchamps received the César for best male hope in 2014 for his role as Franck in L’inconnu du lac, by Alain Guiraudie. Three years later, he was nominated for the César for best actor in Le Fils de Jean, by Philippe Lioret. In this film, he interpreted the role of Matthieu, a man who learns that his father Jean, whom he never knew, is dead. He then went to Canada and met his brothers, before discovering the real reasons for his coming.
On the private side, the 44-year-old actor became the father of a little girl in 2010. A few years later, he tasted the joys of fatherhood once again with the birth of his second child. “I’m going to be a dad again this year. Young or old? Both!” he confided in Madame Figaro, in September 2018.
Pierre Deladonchamps: “My daughter is my little sun”.
Very discreet about his personal life, the one who appeared in Family photo has never revealed the face or the first name of his children. The identity of his companion is also kept secret. In August 2016, Pierre Deladonchamps had, however, indulged in some secrets about his family life. “My daughter is my little sunshine and I love seeing her grow up. It’s not always easy given my job, but I make sure not to put up barriers between my professional life and my daughter” he had confessed to Gala.
While promoting the film Le Fils de Jean, Pierre Deladonchamps also indicated that his eldest daughter had accompanied him on the set. He explained: “She came to Canada for five days during the filming. She loves it! And she has already understood that you shouldn’t talk during the takes”. The now 12-year-old may well follow in her father’s footsteps in the future.
