This Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the appalling took place in Pas-de-Calais. A tax agent was killed by a junk dealer while carrying out an inspection. And it seems that this act is premeditated. Indeed, the murderer, who later committed suicide, would have planned everything to sequester the agent. “We found on the spot clamps” with which the main inspector killed and a colleague were attached, and “these links had probably been bought before the facts”, indicated the prosecutor of Arras. “The first elements seem to be heading towards a premeditated act”, he specifies.

The lawyer later gave details of the murderer: “The investigation is open for murder and kidnapping. The criminal record of the defendant bears no trace of any conviction, however he is known for acts of violence against a minor which manifested itself in two jostling which he acknowledged. These facts gave rise to an internship on the prevention of violence. It was carried out in 2019”.

“The chief inspector died of several stab wounds to the back and chest”

The man didn’t give the tax inspector a chance. “The chief inspector died of several stab wounds to the back and chest,” said the prosecutor, adding that the official had tried to defend himself. “The 39-year-old inspector was not physically injured but is severely psychologically shocked. She is currently being interviewed.” After his gesture, the junk dealer killed himself with a gun in the chest. Autopsies on both bodies will be performed. The emotion is still very strong in the town of the murder but also among the officials who mourn the death of a man who was only doing his job.
