A new icy affair. On March 1, 2023, we learned that a 27-year-old mother and a 70-year-old man had been indicted for human trafficking. Indeed, according to information from the Parisian, the mother of a 12-year-old girl would have made the decision to “sell” her to the septuagenarian. Clearly, in exchange for money paid to the mother of the family, he could have touched his daughter. While a judicial investigation was opened, the two suspects were placed in pre-trial detention. It all started on February 19, 2023, when a cinema employee was surprised to see an elderly man kissing and touching a young girl’s chest and thighs. He then warns the director of the establishment who decides to call the police.
When the police arrive, the man is present and held back by cinema employees. The girl’s mother assures the police that her daughter left the scene with her father but that she does not have his telephone number. She also refutes the accusations of touching her daughter and assures that the man is a “friend” of the family.

But in the face of overwhelming evidence, the judge decided to indict the retired man for sexual assault on a 15-year-old minor and human trafficking committed against a minor. The mother of the family was also indicted for human trafficking. She would have explained that the septuagenarian had paid for medical care for the teenager when she and her daughter were on the street. Thus, the investigators cannot put aside the fact that the girl was “sold” to the man in exchange for money. Both defendants remain presumed innocent.
