Omar Sy and his team were filming season 3 of Lupin, which will be broadcast on Netflix, in the Pablo-Picasso district of Nanterre in Hauts-de-Seine, this Friday, February 25. A filming which was abruptly interrupted around 3 p.m., when “twenty hooded people” attacked members of the film crew and the actors. The production was “attacked with mortar fireworks”. The objective of this attack was to steal equipment. The amount of the loot of the aggressors would amount to 300,000 €.

This Sunday, February 27, Le Parisien had more details on the circumstances of this attack. According to a police source, in addition to the mortars, the attackers were “armed with knives”, weapons which they would not have used, however. In addition to the filming equipment, “they also took the opportunity to recover personal belongings from the filming people. Telephones but also jackets, wallets, etc.”, also indicates a source familiar with the matter in the daily columns. This same source also specifies that “no one has been arrested” at this stage of the investigation.

An investigation which was entrusted to the judicial police of Hauts-de-Seine. “This Saturday, the SDPJ 92 police continued to hear dozens of witnesses to the robbery,” says the source. Omar Sy, who was present at the time for his role as Lupin, did not wish to react to this attack. For its part, the streaming platform “confirmed the incident and assured that the safety of the teams is a priority.” She also added that she hoped “to be able to resume filming soon”.
