What exactly is type 1 diabetes?

Type 1 diabetes affects 10% of diabetes in the world. It is caused by stopping the production of insulin by the pancreas and results in high blood sugar. The latter causes unexplained weight loss, frequent urges to urinate, a great propensity to thirst or even vision disturbances.
