A new narrowly avoided feminicide. This Wednesday, December 22, in Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, a 23-year-old young woman and her two daughters, two years and sixteen months old, were hit with an iron bar in their apartment by two hooded individuals. According to information from our colleagues from The New Republic of the Pyrenees, these acts of rare violence were carried out by a couple from the Landes.
Arrested this Wednesday, January 5, the two alleged culprits are currently in police custody. The man is said to be the victim’s ex-spouse and the father of his eldest daughter. The couple partially admitted the facts, but denied any intention to harm the two young children. The latter were prescribed ten days of total work interruption (ITT) while their mother received two.
