Has Thomas Markle decided to reach out to his daughter? Before her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle had the bad surprise to discover in the tabloids pictures of her father, who had organized a paid paparazzade to make people talk about him. From then on, he did not stop falling out with his daughter, who in a final reconciliation had sent him a personal letter, which he had unveiled in the press. While the latter no longer wishes to hear from him, Thomas Markle continues the outbursts by criticizing the actions of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, such as their departure from the royal family, and denouncing in particular their “lies” during their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
However, as the Duchess of Sussex turned 40 on August 4, her father sent her a gift, as a pacifying gesture to bury the hatchet between them. “I wish you a happy birthday and better days”, wrote on a small card Thomas Markle, reports TMZ, which specifies that this message accompanied a bouquet made up of a dozen red roses, as well as two yellow roses, who symbolized Meghan Markle’s two children, Archie and Lilibet. A touching attention, which however would have received no response from Prince Harry’s wife, visibly hurt by her father’s attitude.
Did Archie and Lilibet meet Meghan Markle’s dad?
It must be said that last July, Thomas Markle had marked a new coup in an interview. “I am going to make a request to the Californian justice in order to obtain the right to see my grandchildren in the near future”, he had thus confided, he who has never met Archie, and is not ready to see Lilibet. An odious blackmail on the part of Meghan Markle’s father, who notably called on the royal family to demand a baptism in church for his granddaughter, tackling Prince Harry and his wife in the process. “I would like to take this opportunity to ask Her Majesty The Queen and the British Royal Family to allow Lili to be baptized at the Queen’s Church. We should not be punishing her for the bad behavior of Meghan and Harry “, he added. Not sure that a bouquet of roses is enough to erase such attacks.
