It’s a big blow for Meghan Markle. This Wednesday, April 6, the wife of prince Harry wanted to share a letter of tribute, to honor the memory of his friend, Oli Juste, who died last January. This man, a dog behaviorist, had greatly helped the Duchess of Sussex to create a link with the Mayhew animal defense association. It is thanks to him that Archie and Lili’s mother became the foundation’s godmother in 2019. Thus, it was on Twitter that Meghan Markle posted a touching message: “We have shared a commitment to animal welfare and a deep love of shelter dogs Oli and her fiancé Rob helped look after my dog Guy, when I had just moved to the UK and was recovering from an accident “.
The commitment of Prince Harry’s wife to this association is such that she has already made a very large donation to the association, in tribute to Oli Juste. It must be said that Meghan Markle has always been passionate about animals, especially dogs. Before meeting Prince Harry, the former actress had adopted a beagle dog, named Guy. Thereafter, it is a Labrador, Pula, who came to enlarge his family. If the two pets joined Prince Harry and their two children, a third had to stay in Canada.
Meghan Markle, very committed to the defense of animals
Indeed, according to many media, Bogart, half labrador, half shepherd, did not get along at all with the Duke of Sussex! “Meghan was very vocal about the fact that it wouldn’t be right to take him back full-time, given Bogart’s feelings for her husband,” a source close to the couple told The Sun. A heartbreak for this animal lover who had also spoken on this subject, while the world was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic: “The organization has saved cats and dogs in critical situations and, of course, provided vital animal health services overseas in countries also affected by the pandemic.”
In a letter, the duchess writes about the passing of dog trainer and behaviourist Oli Juste, a friend who introduced her to the charity in 2018 (and helped care for her dog Guy after an accident). In his memory, Meghan and the @TheMayhew will be creating a wing in his name. pic.twitter.com/ERxak8Zvsd
