In March 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a heavy decision. That of packing up England in order to go into exile in the United States far from the royal family, media pressure and their royal commitments. Under the Los Angeles sun, Archie’s parents were counting on making a new start by going in particular to conquer Hollywood. But that was before the coronavirus pandemic put the brakes on their great ambitions. Indeed, instead of spending a year developing their new activities in California, the Sussexes have had to remain cloistered at home due to the health restrictions imposed in the country. With many filming put on hold, many productions halted, and most social events such as red carpets had to be called off, Meghan and Harry struggled to set up their Hollywood projects that have only been behind schedule.
However, the couple have already signed two golden contracts with two streaming giants which are none other than Netflix and Spotify for which they plan to develop documentaries, films, series and podcasts. A highly anticipated content which we have yet to see the color. It will therefore certainly be necessary to wait until the virus is more under control before discovering the work of Meghan and Harry. Note that the latter are also actively working in favor of their Archewell foundation created last October.
Prince Harry disinherited?
By giving up his royal duties but also by moving away from the royal family, Prince Harry also agreed to lose some of his privileges, among which the financial advantages of the Crown. Thus during their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey this Sunday, March 7, the Sussex couple took stock of their financial situation and Harry revealed that the royal family had “cut off his food”. Following the Megxit, the young parents were able to count on the legacy left by Lady Diana to get by before signing their deals with Netflix and Spotify. “We live on the money my mother left me. Without it, we wouldn’t have been able to leave. So, looking back, it’s as if she had sensed it” explained the prince’s brother. William.
